Description | The Peninsula Model Railroad Club (PMRRC), located in Newport News, VA. Was formed in the mid 1970\'s, in the back room of a local Hobby Shop. In 1978, we were fortunate to acquire space in the Lee Hall Depot. Right now, with the Lee Hall Depot under going renovation. We are in a temporary location which used to be a Public school. At the present, we are in the process of building a new layout. Some of the goals of the club are to promote the model railroad hobby while learning new techniques. The new layout is 16.5 feet by 22 feet, and represents the area extending for Newport News, VA to Richmond, VA., during the Steam to Diesel era of the late 50\'s to early 60\'s. When the Lee Hall Depot is ready for us to move back in. The layout we are building will be moved there. We also have two T-Trak layouts. One we keep one at the Club, and the other is our traveling layout for train shows and events. We welcome everyone, you\'re always welcome to come out and have fun with us anytime.
