The Salt Creek Model railroad club is now located at 2N166 Prince Crossing road in West Chicago, Illinois. We now are in the old Chicago, Aurura, & Elgin power & passenger station. We are open on Tuesday afternoon and night. The new layout is now in process of being built. We now have about 700 feet of operating mainline with 300 more feet to be added. This is both a operating and run around layout with both DC and DCC. We have 14 tunnels, 17 diamonds, 4 double crossovers, 7 crossovers, 3 reverse loops, we have upper and lower level layout but not seperated. This is a fun layout to run on as there are so many different routes that can be taken. No running around in loops. Stop in and check us out and we can talk trains. |
