The Golden Spike American Flyer Train Club is a modular S-Gauge Hi-Rail club. We promote model railroading throughout the beautiful Wasatch Front area. Members are scattered along the northern Utah area. We have monthly club meetings on the 3rd Friday of each month except for May, June, and July. The club as a whole attends 3 large shows and 3 small shows each year. Each member has as many modules as he can handle. All modules are standarized at 36" wide, 70" long, and 36" above the floor. Most members have cut the module length in half for easier storing and transporting. We have several different layout plans which are used depending on sponsor requests or building layout that we find ourselves in. Each member can display any theme on his modules that is train-related. We have now 4 mainlines with our new figure 8 layout design. We elect officers every 2 years, with the vice-president becoming president after the 2nd year in office. Club dues are $12 per year.
